A Letter From Suz

Dear Team Slayerward,

It’s the end of January and as you begin thinking about your taxes you may be
wondering, “Hmmmm, I wonder what happened with that awesome charitable donation
I made to Fandom Gives Back for Alex’s Lemonade Stand last summer? Did that
scoundrel SuzsPetals pull her story, change the names and places in order to republish it under Buffy fic?”

Uh, no. If you know me, you would realize I’m way too lazy and easily distracted for that kind of project.

Indeed, I have not forgotten your kind gift in exchange for some more of Slayerward
and Bella’s story. As promised, I will write an outtake which will be voted upon, plus one extra of my choice. Now is the time to vote on your ideal outtake and other publishing details. If you like my story, but missed the auction, don’t worry. You can still donate and participate. Just click the link here to Alex’s, donate $5 or more and send the receipt to one of the blog goddesses, donnersun or texaskatherine.

A few ideas for outtakes - include lemon requests if in context:

• Epilogue in EPOV

• The Cullens visit Denali

• Edward and Jane in Italy

• The Cullen family slaying together (pre-Bella)

• More Kate and Garrett

Delivery and publishing:

Once the outtake subject is decided, it - and the one of my choice - will be written
and emailed within two weeks. I would like to eventually publish the outtakes on
fanfiction.net, but would like to know an appropriate amount of time until I do so, making it fair to those who donated for the chance to get it exclusively. I’ll publish the one of my choosing first.

Thank you everyone for your generosity, and especially your patience! I hope you miss
the Family Business employees as much as I do. I’m ready to dive back in.

A Message From Our Glorious Leader

From Suz:

The auction closes tomorrow night and I finally updated The Family Business. It didn't generate any new followers for Team Slayerward yet, so I'm offering a bonus outtake if we reach 20 bidding members or $500 (whichever comes first) before midnight tomorrow. Come on - let's slay childhood cancer!

So come on people! Let's do this thing. It's not too late to bid. Every little bit helps. For just $5 you can be a part of a fantastic cause. Believe me, it feels really good. There's a little linky link over there on your right...all you have to do is click, give us your name and the amount you want to pledge, and we'll do the rest. Assuming we figure out how and TK doesn't get too drunk tomorrow night to place the bid. ;) haha Kidding. I kid.

Thanks so much for all the support. #TeamSlayerward really is going to help kick childhood cancer in the nads. Woot!

Pledge. You know he'd want you too. How can you resist that smile?

Help Us Slay Cancer!

If you aren't familiar with Alex's Lemonade, click the little link to your right. No, your other right. It's a beautiful organization that even melts my cold, dead heart. Last year, the amazing, talented, big-hearted [insert a zillion other accolades here] coordinators helped wrangle over $87,000 for Alex's Lemonade.

This year, the [insert remaining accolades] SuzsPetals has generously offered an outtake from her story, The Family Business. The winner (a.k.a. us) will chose the scene or alternate point of view. As long as it stays within the confines of the existing story she will write it. And we all know, if she writes it we will come.

So now we need you to venture back over to your right and click on the bid form. For a $5 minimum you can help find a cure for childhood cancer and read more about our favorite characters. When the auction ends we will break your kneecaps if you welch on your donation kindly ask you forward the money.

From all of us at Team Slayerward,
